Dreams DO come true – for this i can vow !!

I had a dream a year ago that I am shooting a wedding in Bali … and so it happened

I have got an agency in Indonesia that has been advertising me for some time now, and it finally happened : I booked a wedding in Indonesia. It all worked out perfect, since I was already on that side of the world for the Australia wedding, I was only a short flight away from Bali

The time in Bali was absolutely MAGIC !!

Bec {New Zealander} and Pascal {French} got married in Air Sanih {meaning spring water} with only close friends & family {traveling from New Zealand, France, Spain & Germany} and I was there to capture the beauty of the celebration of togetherness. Calix & Jola {their kids – the cutest I have come across in a loooong time} were a very important part of the celebration and when the vows was said, they joined the circle of {LOVE} and received all the blessings together with mom & dad

The day started with an early morning breakfast, where after we all went to the Ponjok Batu Temple to bring offerings to the Hindu Gods of Indonesia. The temple was getting ready for a big celebration later in the week, so there was heaps of people preparing offerings … {pure luck}

Indonesia is extremely religious and superstitious at the same time, quite an experience to see all the rituals.

After the temple visit, the guests took a little break and went for a dip to cool down in the Natural Springs. It was such a pleasure to document this day filled with different activities. Around 3.30pm the garden was decorated for the celebration of {LOVE} and {FRIENDSHIP} & the ring exchange .

I did the portraits of the couple before the actual ceremony – Bali is just soooooo super beautiful with soft glorious light !!

After the garden ceremony, where every guest read a personal *blessing* to the couple & the kids … {such an awesome idea} … there was some kite flying {Balinese tradition}.

For the evening entertainment there were local Balinese dancers and musicians – waaaay different from the ‘Marimba’ bands I am use to back home It was just one of those UNFORGETTABLE days – that is for sure!!!

Champagne on the beach, watching the sun set – definitely ‘filed’ as a *golden moment* in my book of moments

*little bit of ‘how did they meet?’*  … SIBERIA – yes, you heard me right

The universe work in magical ways {and that I experienced when I booked this wedding} They have both been traveling on different trains across the Russian Steppes, stopping at Irktusk to witness the jewels of Lake Baikal. Bec immediately fell in lust with Pascal’s sock/sandal combination and he, well – that remains a secret between the 2 of them, but personally I believe it must have been Bec’s ‘light up the world’ smile
