Camryn Aeryn Josephs-Dramat was born on 31 July 2005. Camryn was diagnosed with Goldenhar Syndrome which causes congenital abnormalities (defects present at birth). In Camryn’s case she was born without ear lobes (outer ears) and with a major heart defect (VSD, ASD, PS).
At fourteen months, she underwent her first heart operation. She had another heart operation six months later.
Camryn attends school at the Carel du Toit Centre on the premises of Tygerberg Hospital. The centre is a special needs facility for hearing impaired children.
She still has to under go many more operations on her jaw, to fit prosthetic ears and to implant her BAHA (bone anchored hearing aid).
The family have had a very difficult time, but praise God for allowing them the privilege of being Camryn’s parents, as she brings such joy to their lives.
Thank you Cherie for choosing me to photograph you & your beautiful family!Danie, thanks for being the “art director” and Jordyn – keep on smiling, you are going to be a real heart breaker one day;)
Camryn – you are a little ROCKSTAR!!!!
*As you can imagine the operations that little Camryn must undergo is quite expensive – if there is any of you that would be keen to donate any amount of money – please inbox me : info@carmenvisser.co.za
