The 2 of them will get married in September and we have been planning their engagement session since February I believe. I have always wanted to do a train trip photo session and these 2 were the perfect couple for such an adventure

We met at Surfer’s Corner in Muizenberg, did a couple of pics at the Muizenberg Station, hopped on the train, stopped in Kalk Bay, walked along the harbour, had an early lunch at The Brass Bell, hopped back on the train and if I think back now, it all feels like a dream

It was absolutely fabulous spending time with the 2 of you – can not wait for the wedding day on the farm in the middle of nowhere, outside De Rust !!!! Woooooohoooooo !!!!!!

There is soooo many things about my job/life that I absolutely just LOVE – documenting a wedding day is just one of the things that makes me smile from ear to ear. Maybe the fact that I know that 30 years from now people will still look at their pics recalling the day like it happened yesterday. {Creating memories} that is what I do & absolutely LOVE doing.

Martin & Bernice were made for one another … the way they look at each other with those big massive sparkling smiles : you just know by looking at them …. {LOVE} …. they ooze it.

Absolutely adore the location : Towerbosch has got his own kind of magic feel + the old school Jaguar = made my day!!!!

The final countdown to India has begun – in less then a week i will be arriving in Delhi to start my journey into the unknown. * excitement *

I’ve always wanted to shoot at Worcester Station and finally had the chance on Saturday with the wedding portraits. Not sure what my fascination with stations are at the moment – last week’s wedding portraits were also shot at a station …. hhmmmm, maybe cause I am leaving on an awesome trip very very soon !!! {15 days till i leave for India/Australia/Bali}

The one person that really stood out on this beautiful day was the driver of the wedding car – I have never laughed soooo much whilst taking pics.

Arina & Francois I hope you guys are having a ball in Thailand and have a brilliant life together as Mr&Mrs Van Der Westhuizen.

I have always wanted to do a shoot at the Wijnland Auto Museum – most of you will know where this is … heading out on the N1, just before you get to the Engen garage on your left there is a graveyard of old cars. Well, this is actually an AWESOME old car museum.

Izanne came prepared with heaps of funky props – such FUN!!!!

Everything about this day was really really special. Absolutely just LOVED the table decorations – the handy work of  Stella Bells & the paper patrol and the flowers by Flower Republic. They sure know how to make a bride happy with a beautiful reception hall

Izan & Nelisa is REAL – no fuss.what you see is what you get & I LOVE them for that!!!

This was really one of those memorable weddings – thank you for choosing me to document this very special celebration with friends & family from all over the globe!

I even got the chance to photograph a christening Nelisa’s sister christened their little boy right after the ceremony – what a great idea with all the family & friends being present.

I believe in embracing the elements, but this was a true Cape Town winters day – but off course the sun did come out – ’4 seasons in one day’ i tell ya … I have back flashes where I was standing under 5 umbrellas with the couple, my assistant, the videographer and some SERIOUS pouring rain : thinking “what to do, what to do???!!!!”

Well, we survived – just about …

It’s been a busy week. I shot a 3 hour elopement wedding on Tuesday morning and the afternoon it was Emily & Willem’s turn to be in front of the camera for their ‘trial photo session’

I could not have asked for better weather for such a busy day : sunset on Clifton was absolutely fantastic!!!!!

Amit is from Israel, Virginia an American girl all the way from  A L A B aaa M A She was special, real special. I have never met them before and I will most likely never see them again, but she left an enormous impression !! The pics of her just before she walks down the isle was natural light that just shone upon her : i have never seen such beautiful light : *special*

It was my 2nd Jewish wedding and what an interesting ceremony !!!! In the Jewish religion you have to have a certain amount of people at the wedding to make it legal – luckily the couple had the brilliant team from Just Jack to make all of this possible I absolutely love working with the Just Jack team – shooting another wedding for them tomorrow!

The venue was like something out of a fairytale !!!! The Cellars – Hohenort is situated in Constantia and has got 9 acres of award winning gardens. It was an absolute dream for the portraits of this beautiful couple!!!!
