When Marieta made contact with me in the beginning of the year regarding their wedding that will be hosted in Garies, I never ever could’ve envisioned what they had in mind for this special day! I find myself thinking back about the past weekend and it all just feels like one big fairy tale that I read about somewhere in a magazine.
I absolutely just L O V E taking pictures of people that is in love, and believe me – the love between these two is hard to come by…
It was one big celebration of love & friendship for a whole weekend. Marieta & Andries lives in Stellenbosch and decided to do something completely different for their wedding day, instead of the normal wine farm wedding celebration… Andries is originally from Garies, so they decided to host the wedding on their family farm. After 6 months of some serious planning they hosted the most amazing wedding on the 30th of October 2010.
They even installed DSTV to cover the Curry Cup Final between WP and Sharks.
I feel so extremely blessed that I was chosen to photograph this special celebration of true love.
