India is beyond believe …. for anything you say the opposite is always true.
It’s rich & poor … spiritual & material … cruel & kind … angry but peaceful … ugly & beautiful … smart but stupid …
I finished another 200 hours yoga teacher training in the town of Netala, very high up in the state of Uttarakhand in the north of India. It was a grueling 4 weeks of intense training, pranayama (breathing) exercises & early morning meditation sessions {12 hours per day} … braving dust storms, intense heat, cockroaches, spiders {need I say more regarding the fact that it was grueling????}
A big shout out to my brilliant travel partner, Candice Miller {for finding our boutique hotel in Delhi} and putting up with me for 4 weeks, making me laugh when things got tough and sticking it out till the end. We made it!!!!!!!!
This is a collection of some of my favorite images of the pass 4 weeks – the pictures of the ‘holy men’ was all shot in Gangotri {one of the most spiritual spots in India}.
Heading to Australia on Thursday morning to capture my first international wedding in Brisbane {very excited} BUT for now I am hiding in a hotel that seals out the heat, the dust, the dirt and the exasperation to re-energize my soul …. only to re-enter the infuriating furnace of Delhi this afternoon to go shopping & explore the Delhi markets
One thing I am taking from this experience :
God is not a judgemental giant sitting up in heaven; but a force within us ALL – we are all lightbulbs in the electrical system of the universe …
